About
Revenge Radio started in 2007 as an MP3 blog and over time has become a repository and umbrella for a number of music related projects. The site was relaunched in June 2009 with a range of new projects under its wing including a photo archive, fanzine, and shop. You can read about them below.
Revenge Radio is run by writer and music fanatic KJE and is based in Melbourne, Australia. KJE has been lurking on the fringes on the music community for many years, in radio, web design and print media.

MP3 Blog
Years ago I hosted a radio show and ran a super lo-fi record label. Consequently I have loads of weird and wonderful demos and recordings lying around. Rather than let them just gather dust in every available nook and cranny of my tiny suburban flat, I created this MP3 blog to let em loose on the net for your listening (dis)pleasure. Although the blog is fairly eclectic there are a few areas I will focus on more than others. One aim is to delve into some great (and not so great) Australian releases from the early-mid 1990s, which will be nostalgic for some and new to those who are a tad younger than yours truly. I’ll also be digging deep into the demo department, so you’ll be sure to discover stuff here that you won’t find any where else.
Publicity Photo Archive
Prior to the digital age, record labels and artist representatives routinely issued 8×10 inch black and white photographs to print media outlets for editorial use. With this method of image distribution now largely redundant I’ve been dutifully collecting these photos and are now sharing my collection online. You can check them out on this website and on flickr.
Sex, Donuts & Rock n Roll Fanzine
Remember zines? I recently started editing one called Sex, Donuts & Rock n Roll. It’s been dubbed a ‘perzine for music fanatics’. It’s only available on paper, not online. Contributions welcome. See the link for more info.
Revenge Radio Shop
All manner of music related collectibles and vintage merch often end up in my possession. In addition to being a music fanatic I’m also a minimalist neat freak who lives in a small space, so from time to time it’s necessary to unload items and duplicates from my collection and send them on to a good home. Perhaps yours? Visit the Shop.
